The full form of PM SHRI is Prime Minister’s Schools for Rising India.

The PM SHRI scheme was launched on September 7, 2022.

PM SHRI Scheme (PM Schools for Rising India) aims to qualitatively strengthen the existing schools and showcase the implementation of National Education Policy, 2020 and make them exemplar schools over a period of time.

To prepare more than 14,500 PM SHRI Schools in which every student feels welcomed and cared for, where a safe and stimulating learning environment exists, where a wide range of learning experiences are offered, and where good physical infrastructure and appropriate resources conducive to learning are available to all students.

Schools managed by Central government/State/UT Government/local bodies. All Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas which are non-project and running from permanent buildings.

Students of the PM SHRI Schools are the beneficiaries of the PM SHRI Scheme.

More than 14,500 schools including JNVs and KVs.

16 schools In Sambhal are proposed in the scheme
